Incitare Sri Lanka – Our Work

From Dialogue to Delivery

Incitare Sri Lanka’s work is grounded in implementation.

In March 2025, Incitare Sri Lanka convened a national cross-sector dialogue, Collaborating for Economic Resilience, at the National Youth Corps Headquarters in Colombo. The event brought together representatives from government institutions, development agencies, technical organisations, vocational training centres, academia, and the private sector to explore how Sri Lanka can strengthen resilience through productive infrastructure, enterprise development, clean technologies, and innovation ecosystems.

The dialogue marked an important shift away from fragmented approaches towards integrated models that connect skills development, livelihoods, technology access, markets, and finance.

Following this engagement, Incitare entered into partnerships with the National Youth Corps, GIZ Sri Lanka, Germantec Kilinochchi, and the Department of Samurdhi to introduce solar bakery technology as part of broader climate-resilient livelihood and enterprise systems.

This work led to the first introduction of solar bakery ovens in Sri Lanka and the development of locally manufacturable renewable energy technologies designed to strengthen domestic capability and reduce dependence on imported systems.

Incitare’s programmes are intentionally designed to move beyond demonstration projects towards scalable, investment-ready models capable of contributing to long-term economic resilience.
